About MangaDrops
MangaDrops is a small, independent collection of 4K anime and manga wallpapers, made for the phone first. It has one page per series or character, every image is free to download, and there are no accounts, ads, popups or cookie walls. Today it holds 54 wallpapers across 38 pages; new drops are added as they are finished.
How the art is made
Each wallpaper starts as a written brief for a series or character: the mood, the palette, the pose, the framing that suits a lock screen. That brief is rendered with AI image tools at 1440×2560 and up, then reviewed by a person. Renders with broken anatomy, muddled details or the wrong feel are discarded. The ones that pass are exported as WebP and JPG and published here.
Because every image is generated from a brief, none of them is a screenshot, scan or edit of published manga panels, anime frames or official art. They are original pictures in the spirit of the series they are named after.
Why one page per series
People look for a specific series or character, not "anime wallpapers" in general. So each page is exactly that: everything we have for Naruto, or for Itachi, with nothing else mixed in. Character pages link up to their series, and series pages list their characters.
The app
Downloading a single wallpaper is free and always will be. If you would rather have a whole pack rotating on your lock screen, the Android app on each page does that; the link is there for convenience and is the only outside service this site points to.
Independence
MangaDrops is not affiliated with any publisher, studio or licensor. Series and character names identify the subject of a picture and belong to their owners. If you think something here should not be, the takedown page explains how to tell us.
